Ship Reviews

This was our second cruise with AMA and we chose this particular cruise based on the fact it included a 3 day stay in Paris and we added the Barcelona extension. The accommodations in Paris and Barcelona was outstanding. The ship and crew were amazing as usual. The cruise director Louis was exceptional and very helpful he was with us through both extensions. The wait staff was fantastic Filip was funny and kept everyone laughing along with Stefan at meal time. The entertainment was outstanding Disco night had everyone just dancing up a storm. The only issue when traveling during August is most of the country is on holiday and a lot of things were closed. Also the temperature was over 100 every afternoon made it difficult for some for the walking excursions. We are planning our next AMA cruise for January of 2025 to Vietnam. AMA goes out of their way to ensure that service is at least at a 5 star level.

We are just home from our 5th cruise with AMA, and it did not disappoint , We were a group of 40, and I was what AMA called the pied piper. We promoted the cruise with a local French chef here in Portland. Many in the group utilized the AMA pre tour in Paris, and a large group went on the post tour to Barcelona. All in all the cruise was equal to, or better than any of our previous sailings. Cruise Manager Nicky was awesome (we had him on board in Bordeaux four years ago, and requested him for this sailing). With one exception the wait staff in the dining room and the Chef's Table was excellent, and we would especially like to give a shout out to Antonio. The post tour in Barcelona was very good. The hotel used, the Renaissance Barcelona caters to groups, and when in the lobby or having breakfast you might as well be in Kansas City, as there is no clue that you are in Spain. We have two more sailings booked with AMA in 2024 and are looking forward to them
