Ship Reviews

The check in process was super easy and we didn’t have to wait in any lines! Celebrity had staff all over to help people with every step of embarking. All Celebrity staff spoke to us and asked if we needed help. Our cabin steward was kind, attentive, friendly and very professional. The ocean view cafe had very nice handwashing stations (touch-less). The cafe staff was very polite and efficient and they all spoke to us. The Food was slightly above average and the cafe was layed out very well. Lots of variety! Rooftop garden was clean, very comfortable and a great place to relax. Solarium was very nice but too hot with little air movement. The spa was very clean and modern. We had pedi’s and they did a good job but it was a little pricey. The shopping was disappointing. There is no shop dedicated to selling only souvenirs/fun Celebrity gifts.

This was our longest cruise yet; 11 days. Ports were Cartagena Colombia, then passing thru the Panama Canal, Colon Panama, Bonaire, Aruba and then Grand Cayman. The boarding process was seamless. Celebrity does a fantastic job of this. Our cabin was immaculate and ALL the public spaces were well maintained. Service at all levels was phenomenal. Food: I have zero complaints about the food. We were in Aqua Class, but did try the Cosmopolitan Main Dining Room one night and Cyprus the other. Both were every bit as good as Blu. However, since we had a nice table and a wait team that knew us well in Blu, that is where we had dinner and breakfast on most days. Artika was our waiter. He gets a 10 out of 10. Entertainment: The production show entertainers (I don't know what their proper name is) were extremely talented. However, the shows themselves had really strange narratives that made no sense. This was especially true of the Cabaret Show in The Club. That show was the most disjointed production I have ever seen. It didn't flow. The songs were random and didn't seem to relate to each other. It was as if you watched a production of the actual musical "Cabaret" and then dreamed about it, and then tried to tell it to your friends when you were drunk. Not cohesive at all. As for the headliners, the Elton John impersonator was A Plus. However, the high point for us was Savannah Smith. If you EVER get the chance to see her, do not miss it. Tommy Greene Jr was entertaining as well. We did not see any of the other headliners. The ports: Cartagena was a blast! We took the "Best of Cartagena" excursion and were wowed from start to finish with the history and the architecture. I highly recommend it! We went thru the Panama Canal on an extremely rainy day, so we were stuck inside. However it was very interesting to see the locks and the process. Likewise, because of the rain, we did not get off the ship in Colon, Panama. We've been to Bonaire several times and always enjoy it. We had a great sunny day and I got some great photos. Aruba has never been a favorite of mine but we did walk along the coastline after shopping and saw some really big turquoise fish! We did plan on visiting Grand Cayman even though we knew we'd have to tender, but there were four ships in port that day and the tender process got clogged up. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes to get off the ship, we gave up and went to the back of the ship and drank daiquiris. It was fine. We have taken excursions there before. It was nice to have some uncrowded ship time. So why four stars and not five: This was my second cruise on an E Class ship, and I find I just really prefer S Class much better. My reason: There is a lack of connection to the outside/to the ocean on these ships. Not having true cabin balconies is only part of it though. Even though S Class doesn't have a wrap around Promenade deck, it still has more of one than E Class. It's very limited, and what little there is, well...it's devoted to Smoking. There is no non smoking area on the lower deck (by Eden) for non smokers. Also, there is no way to access the FRONT of the ship if you are not in The Retreat. Besides the lack of access to the bow of the ship, it also makes it very much a two class passenger situation. And yes, there is The Retreat on S Class ships, but other passengers are able to visit the front of the ship and not just those who are booked in The Retreat. So yeah, bottom line on E Class: there is not a lot of access to the outdoors. There are not even that many windows in interior public spaces. The Grand Plaza is nice in one sense, because it's such a fun gathering space. However, it's also very noisy. I prefer S Class where the bars and restaurants are their own entity. All in all, it was a wonderful eleven days on a beautiful ship. I will just try to avoid the E Class going forward.

Great ship did not feel crowded Food and service were outstanding Evening shows rivaled Broadway for the most part Great ports The Panama Canal is a great experience I would not get off the ship in Colon / Panama City as you miss parts of the canal Cartagena I was interesting Bonaire and the Celeb excursion to the Beach were great The tour guide Josie was spectacular most informative The snorkeling in Bonaire is second to none Aruba went to Eagle Beach by cab 4.5KM from the ship Don’t go to COCO Loco for chairs and umbrella It took over 30 minutes and it was $50- cash for 2 chairs and an umbrella There Are other vendors I would go to them Taxi service is easy and cheap Eagle Beach is wide uncrowded with people not on top of one another Best beach on the island Grand Cayman is a nice high end shopping experience Seven mile beach is great use Resorts for the Day to get a lux hotel experience Overall one of the best cruises we have taken

Flew to FLL day before cruise. We had a Concierge cabin on Deck 9. Boarding was easy at our assigned time. Went to cabin, dropped bags and grabbed seapass card. Went to muster station and then to Concierge Lunch in Tuscan. Cabin was ready around 1:30. Explored ship then went up on deck for sailaway with band playing. Then back to cabin to unpack and just soak in the day so far. All of the staff on board was very friendly. Service in Cosmopolitan dining room was great with John, Recy and Lino. Food was good to very good in the dining room and buffet. We were booked with late dining, which is no longer a "time". Everything is come as you please, or make RSVP the day before. That was easy and worked for us at 7:30, which was plenty of time to make 9:30 show time. Entertainment was varied and all good. Especially the magician. Different types of music venues around the ship with many different hours. Ship is newer and shows its shine. There was always something to do, eat or listen to. We took 5 Celebrity excursions and all were well run. We had an IV cabin, which is a balcony cabin without an actual balcony. Be careful to understand this cabin class before you book. Getting off the ship was easy when our time was called. We stayed the night in Ft. Lauderdale and flew out the next day.

We've just disembarked from Beyond. Looking back, whilst it is a magnificent ship, there are a few niggles. So, to share them. We have always chosen Aqua class, but no more. The intimacy and efficiency of Blu is non existent and certainly not worth the extra. We dined in other restaurants and received far better service. One persistent niggle is that on Celebrity one is required to pay for 'speciality coffee'. Why? Other cruise lines have delightfully free coffee in very pleasant surroundings. Take a drinks package, I hear you say. Why? Questioning many other passengers about the new format 'balconies' elicited many opinions, ranging from love to hate. When we next cruise we will be very careful to examine the 'small stuff'. That might be where Celebrity might lose out to other lines. Having said all that, it is indeed a beautiful ship, but watch out for extras. Not even the water is free any more!

And we take that philosophy even further on Celebrity Beyond by bringing back the mouth-watering specialty restaurants created for Celebrity Edge® and adding to the list an incredible new restaurant created by our Global Culinary Ambassador, the world-renowned chef, Daniel Boulud.

Main Dining

We completely reimagined our already incredible main dining experience when we introduced Celebrity Edge®, and it’s only getting better on our third Edge Series ship, Celebrity Beyond℠. Once again, you can discover not one but four complimentary main restaurants, each with a distinctive design and signature dishes inspired by specific regions of the world. Now, you’ll find new menus and menu selections across our main restaurants.

On our Celebrity Edge® Series ships, we may have reinvented the main restaurant experience with four different venues, but we haven’t changed the way you plan your dining. With Celebrity Select Dining you can choose early seating at 6:00 P.M., late seating at 8:30 P.M., or dine whenever you want. You’ll be assigned one of the four main restaurants, while having the option to dine in the other three upon request and availability.

Complimentary Dining

In addition to our four main restaurants, you’ll find an array of complimentary dining options aboard Celebrity Beyond. From Eden Café to The Spa Café and Juice Bar, and from our market-place inspired Oceanview Café to our poolside Mast Grill, there’s every opportunity to please your palate morning, noon, and night.

More complimentary dining options on Celebrity Beyond include Eden Café, where you’ll find gourmet sandwiches, soups, and other fare, featuring an alfresco dining area and the gorgeous, three level Eden to find an intimate nook with spectacular views to enjoy your meal. Feel like eating a little lighter? Step up to The Spa Café and Juice Bar—tucked into a relaxing corner of the adults-only Solarium—to enjoy a light breakfast or lunch in the most soothing atmosphere on board. Take a break from your relaxing day by the pool to grab a bite at Mast Grill. With so many options available, you’re sure to find exactly what you’re craving any time of day.
