This was our first cruise on the new Celebrity ships, so we went with open eyes and no expectations. The ship itself is clean and spacious - we never felt hemmed in by crowds and there was lots of room to move around. As Suite/Retreat-class guests, we took full advantage of Lumine, the Retreat-only restaurant. The service there was impeccable with great attention from our fantastic waiter and his assistant - Lorendo and Eilyn. We took full advantage of the special Retreat deck on 17 with its own pool and bar and lots of comfortable chaises. Full bar and food wait service was always available and delivered with a smile. Our cabin is nominally a suite, but in fact, was one very ample room and from peering into regular rooms (open for cleaning) as we walked the corridor, about twice their size. We had a very large aft-looking verandah with two chaises, two chairs and a table; although the table was too low for eating, it was sufficient to hold our daily morning croissants and coffee, delivered by our attentive and friendly suite butler, David. Our room steward, I Putu, was always on the case in cleaning and arranging the room whenever we left for any length of time. Our bathroom was superb, featuring a double sink and a shower tower with multiple spray nozzles and unlimited hot water. My only issues with the batheroom were 1) a lack of hand holds in the toilet stall - problematic when the ship was rocking and you want to stand steady (for obvious reasons.) 2) There should be more hand holds in the shower/tub compartment, for the same reason - when the ship is rocking you don’t want to sllkip and fall in the shower, and 3) the waste basket is extremely inconvenient - with a swinging top located in the shelf below the sink. Almost impossible to reach under and deposit your used Q-Tips or whatever. Most of it ends up on the floor making more work for I Putu. We dined around at the various main restaurants for varieties' sake. Most of the four main restaurants are at the stern on decks 3 ad 4 and share a single, large galley in the basement. I noticed that certain dishes appeared on the various menus on different nights. So Dish A in Cyprus might appear two days later in Tuscany, etc. Also, each of the four specialty restaurants has certain thematic dishes which never vary. The quality of the food was not great; I’d call it Elegant Industrial but, in a few cases, the food names had little to do with the actual dish served. As a case in point, I had ordered one night in Cyprus, Strezzopretti Carbonara. I was served some pasta (quite good, in fact - tasted home made and fresh) in a sort of Alfedo sauce with a poached egg on top! Why is this poached egg there? It’s not Carbonara! The Maitre d’ explained that, sorry, this was their version and not legitimate Carbonara. Attention Celebrity Executive Chef: this not a good practice and leads to customer dissatisfaction. In general, thougth, he food was acceptable except for one trulu miserable experience at the Steakhouse on deck 5. This was a disaster and leads me to question whether Celebrity is purposely stiffing the customer. I ordered a Prime NY Strip. What was delivered was a piece of meat with no marbling whatsoever -difficult to cut and impossible to chew. This was not under any circumstances a piece of Prime meat. Period. No argument. I regularly get better meat at Costco. They offered to replace this disaster with a piece of Rib Eye to which I agreed. I was promised a five minute wait. Twenty minutes later, when the replacement was finally delivered, my good wife had finished her excellent Dover Sole and was ready for dessert while I was still waiting. By the time it was delivered, I had throughly lost my appetite and managed two bites of the Rib Eye, which would have been excellent had it been delivered as promised. (You know how miserable it can be when a meal gets out of sync.) I explained to the waiter and the manager, but neither offered any satisfaction other than a gee, that's tough (yes, it was in all respects.) Also, our waiter never came by to ask how everything was or to refill our water glasses. This was an unsatisfying waste of money and time and I felt I was given the bum’s rush. So, this was the low point of the cruise and I can only warn people away from this bad experience. One star - because my crab cake was excellent. One lst warning: this restaurant is open the the central atrium. When the band gets going and the Martini Bar crowd gets rowdy, it is impossible to have a quite conversation. Might as well be eating a hotdog at Knicks game. A note about the Daniel Boloud "selections." I have no idea what the Celebrity marketing team believes this partnership adds to the dining experience. We looked at these selections at each of the restaurants...they appeared to be exactly the same each time and quite unappealing. Duck leg char shiu? Had it one night and it was mediocre. Daniel Boulud might mean something to someone from Somewhere (with apologies to Erewhon), but most people have no idea who he is or the restaurant empire he has built. Adds nothing. And, since art auctions lubricated by plentiful bubbly are a big thing on ships, many will find the surfeit of Peter Max offerings at the Park West factory outlet on Deck 5 to be impressive. Before you buy, read the Wikipedia entry. Caveat emptor. Finally, the shows were outstanding! The theater is stunning and the visual effects are unparalleled, and the acts were first class. I fouund that there was a lack of smaller, intimate spaces to meet with friends and few venues where a small band or individual musician could perform for a small, appreciative audience. Oh yeah. don’t let me forget…THERE’S NO GELATO BAR!!!!! What's up with that? The only ice cream we could find is near the elevator lobby by the Oceanview Cafe, and that offered only limited choices. Excursions: we took only three excursions, which were minimally satisfactory. We have been to each of the islands several times before, wo there was new for us to see, except for the excitement of the watch and jewelery shops in every port. We perefer to stay on the ship on port days, as the main pool is finally useable. For cell phone users, a pro-tip: if you have a carriers' foreign data plan, do not turn on your cellular until you are off the dock and in town! If not - as I learned to my dismay - the local cell towers will triangulate your location and think you are still on the ship, with resultant eye-watering roaming charges. Just because the ship is docked, you are not out of the cellular woods until you disembark. Overall, a five-star cruise. We’ll be back! Except for the steak house misery, I highly recommend this ship for anyone who wants to be treated mostly well, just relax, and use the pool when everyone else is ashore at a port!
we haven’t sailed Celebrity since right before Covid. Having read so many inconsistent reviews since Covid…I wasn’t sure what to expect. Quick background…we have been on over 30 cruises on 11 different cruise lines. We primarily sail ultra luxury (I.e. Silversea) and we are elite on Celebrity. We booked a Sky Suite with the aft/wake view. We loved our room and balcony but since it’s so far from the Retreat, we actually rarely went to the Retreat and the 2 times we tried to go up there, there were no loungers in the shade. So we left. We also never used the Retreat Lounge, we prefer Martini Bar and World Class Bar etc in the heart of the ship. We ate at Luminae most lunches but only one dinner. We like the speciality restaurants on the Edge Class Ships , so we dined elsewhere over Luminae which was fine because we thought it was the weakest dining Venue we ate at. Food at all the specialty restaurants was fantastic! Entertainment was excellent. We went to 3 shows….very happy with all of them. We booked the trip for a cheap getaway…not for the destinations. Puerto Plata we did a side by side excursion which was great. In Grand Turk (substitute for original Labadee when we booked)…we have been to Grand Turk before and dont’ care for it. So we just had lunch and drinks at Margaritaville. Last stop was Nassau…what a waste of a stop…why do so many ships call here? Ugh… Anyway, we found service everywhere to be great. It felt LIke “home” going back after a few years. Happy we did it and woudl love to find another trip to book but we have been to over 110 countries, so itineraries are pretty boring for us; which is why we prefer small ship cruising and expedition ships …much more interesting ports.
The cruise was a very enjoyable experience. Highlight of the cruise was Captain Kirk, who also put on a great performance and playing in the electric guitar and singing rock music. That was our favorite. The show shows were good martini bar was good to dances were fun. The worst part of the cruise was the grand Turk Island the party bus rum tour. We engaged in was horrible old school bus with a choice of tasting 3 different bottles of rum underneath a gazebo with part of the roof blown off. We were taken to what they called downtown and it looked like a flea market. The only thing nice here was the new shops at the port. If had a chance to choose a separate or a different island I would've chosen a different island but the Dominican Republic and Bahamas in Nassau were a lot of fun.
Service was perfect. Food was outstanding. By far one of our top two cruises. The crew members went out of their way to make everything top notch. We did a bid up offer and our minimum bid was accepted. We were placed in aqua class on deck ten. It was the perfect spot to give us steps to walk off some of the treats. Our room steward was one of the best we’ve ever had. The cafe was wonderful. If you ordered hot tea they brought a whole pot with a biscotti on the side. Iced tea was a process and so worth it. The used a pot called forte and brewed the tea, poured it over ice, then poured into a glass with more ice. The entertainment was superb. The theater is payed out well with a large screen. There was singing, dancing, acrobatics, and a comedian. We were on board during Halloween and they did not disappoint. Many wore impeccable costumes and there was a party at the end of the night. The best part of aqua class was Blu. You could order off of any of the menus except specialty restaurants. Bitzy and Manik took care of us for breakfast and dinner every day. I can’t praise them enough. The buffet was phenomenal for lunch and after show snacks. Loved the cruise would go again in a heartbeat.

Now, you’ll find new menus and menu selections across our main restaurants.
On our Celebrity Edge® Series ships, we may have reinvented the main restaurant experience with four restaurants, but we haven’t changed the way you plan your dining in these restaurants. Now, you can choose Celebrity Select Dining Early or Celebrity Select Dining Late, and you’ll be assigned one of the four main dining restaurants, while having the option to dine in the other three upon request. Choose Celebrity Select Dining Anytime, and you can dine in any of the four restaurants when you want. There’s nothing traditional about dining with us. With Celebrity Select Dining the choice of how you plan your evening meals is up to you.

Kids and Teen Programs
The fun starts at Camp At Sea, our onboard entertainment centre and program designed exclusively for kids ages 3 to 12. Open every day from 9:00am - 10:00pm, Camp at Sea offers kids the opportunity to participate in a number of entertaining activities, including treasure hunts, arts and crafts, sports, and theme parties, all under the supervision of our experienced youth staff. For our teen cruisers, the Teen Club is the place to be. At the Teen Club, they can make new friends and participate in events like video game competitions, teen parties, and culinary classes. Activities are overseen by our team of teen counsellors and offered throughout the day, allowing teens to come and go as they please.
Entertainment On Board
There’s no shortage of entertaining venues on board. Spend the day swimming in the pool with the kids, then watch the sunset while relaxing in one of our elevated hot tubs. Gather on board for movie night under the stars, silent disco parties, hot glass classes, and archery tournaments —so many activities to share. Don’t miss the views from the Lawn Club or the Resort Deck, which provides the ultimate backdrop for a picture-perfect family photo.
Family Friendly Excursions
