I had read that the service in the Retreat area was good, but, the special treatment we got was beyond my expectations! I had cruised with Oceania in the past, and the treatment we got in the Retreat was every bit as good. Also, the food was fantastic. As good as Oceania? Not quite, but everything else was comparable, and the entertainment was better. My only real complaint is that the Sky Suite was a suite in name only. It would more accurately be called a premium room. Would I sail Celebrity again? Absolutely, but only in the Retreat. And I think I would upgrade and book a Celebrity Suite so that the cabin would be a true suite as advertised. Our waiter in the Retreat dining room, Hernando, was as good as any waiter I’ve had in a 5* restaurant. He was attentive and met our every need. Overall, my experience exceeded expectations
Excellent staff and service, staying in an aqua sky suite gave us some additional benefits we enjoyed by saving for a splurge vaca, such as priority embark (although regular embark was very smooth too in Tampa), priority tendering (great! The concierge whisks you to the tender exit), reserved seating for nighttime theater shows, and with premium beverage package, unlimited bottled water, fresh squeezed juices, and espresso coffee drinks, aside from liquor/wine. All servers and cabin crew were excellent, remembering our names and preferences on food/beverages, including those in lounges we only visited for a short time. This was a standout difference for us vs Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Norwegian (though we did not stay in haven/suite class on those ships). Meal variety was great with many plant based options available, more so than what I've seen on other lines. The only area I think may have fallen a bit short is the quality/consistency of cocktails; ex. if you want an old fashioned hit the martini bar for luxardo cherries added. We felt the craft cocktails were better on Royal Caribbean. Things to know: you can order from Blu and Main menus while in Luminae on this ship, just ask! Can choose starter from one and main from another. As typical, pool loungers in any shaded areas disappeared quickly and we could not find 2-4 seats together under cover after 9am on 1st sea day in pool or atrium pool. We did see plenty of chairs in full sun available. We wished there were some reserved seats for suites. It is an older ship with some areas recently refurbished, but overall, the hard product is dated. If you prefer newer design ships with a more gallery/open mall concept feel and a larger pool area, this may not be the ship for you. We enjoyed the old style feel and smaller crowd as a nice change in pace. We stayed in 6145 which shares a connected door w penthouse. There are other video and photo reviews avail for this room (or its twin 6146). Something i did not see in other videos is the 2 above sink mirrors in bathroom are recessed with storage! The shower door is quite heavy to pull/push open. This room is bigger than some other aqua sky suites by an estimated 70-80sq ft (320ish vs 250ish), a wider room and larger bathroom. See my sloppy AR assist rendering with camera measurements below. Your balcony here is also larger than others but the furniture is very dated. No loungers or footrests/ottomans. For 2 occupants, you can slide the chairs in front of sofa for makeshift loungers. Extra pillows or towels make the metal sofa more comfortable. Adjacent balcony, though smaller and no sofa, seemed to have newer/better chairs and table :/ The TV is a bit smaller than seen in other aqua sky (not a problem, still big enough) but the non-adjustable position in cabinet meant screen is always partly obscured from one side of the bed by the cabinet itself. I recommend this ship for it's crew and charm and would sail again!

Open every day from 9:00am - 10:00pm, Camp at Sea offers kids the opportunity to participate in a number of entertaining activities, including treasure hunts, arts and crafts, sports, and theme parties, all under the supervision of our experienced youth staff. For our teen cruisers, the Teen Club is the place to be. At the Teen Club, they can make new friends and participate in events like video game competitions, teen parties, and culinary classes.
