Hello and a callout to all who seem to bash or look to hurt the reputation of the MSC brand, lines or any part there of. I’m a Canadian and am currently at port waiting for week 2 of our incredible adventure to begin. The ship is beyond expectations, in that of itself alone. The food is incredible in every respect. The reviews had me worried, and I am now wondering how many people have been promised or paid something in kind to do so. I almost skipped this ship and it’s brand because of such nonsense and falsehoods. I’m on my balcony as I write and I can attest that there are food choices for everyone under the sun. I wake up to smoked salmon and cream-cheese on a bagel and forego the frosted flakes or raisin bran. I do try a bit of everything and then settle into my favourites or things I wont usually spoil myself with. If something is not right and it will be be, but if it isn’t and you are with voice it will be made right for you. I was in the dining room on the 5th floor and it was there that I met the Serbian born, head waiter Sasha Pevic( sorry if I got the last name wrong.) If your looking for passion based food look no further. I had a specialty burger that not only made me cry once but twice. 8 ounce smash burger with ounces more of brisket, then bacon, onion rings, lettuce and even the colonels secret sauce! I spent some time speaking with this man and telling him I had hi expectations and he made them at every effort. When I arrive home to Manitoba where I reside, I will continue to promote Serbian restauranteurs as I promised. It was the people first that made the first half of this journey so happily memorable. From Woody our waiter from Bali, whom is my favourite since my first cruise in 1987 to countless others. I had the worlds finest Italian derived veal on Friday night as that was the theme. The food and the service just ramps up and delivers day after day. The entertainment is enough to keep anyone amused and enamoured, no matter the age. The ship itself is as clean as a whistle and still looks as new as the day it took its maiden voyage, I’m sure. The elevators work as they need to and anyone who thinks there is a better way to travel a 100 feet up or down in either direction, please let me know. From the beginning, embarking must have been the easiest I have ever been exposed to and as smooth as silk. There are pools, bars, speakeasies and nooks and crannies to get lost in at every corner. Find your own place on the ship and make memories that will last a lifetime. I could go on and on and still not cover all the bases. Your room will be clean and tidy and then re-tidy’d. You will enjoy amenities that are endless from pools, gym, spa, barber shop and pampering unlike you have never known. It’s the love-boat and its suiting our 25th anniversary vacation well in every respect. All in all I just wanted to stake my claim as I almost passed up on a Eastern and Western cruise of a lifetime for us. People remember the golden rule, if your going to speak, speak the truth and do not bare a false witness against anyone or anything
The cruise was amazing, everything was fine: service, cabin cleaning, entertainments, dining, activities. The crew was very friendly and open . The embarkation/disembarkation was arranged very professionally and we did not face any problem and did not waste our time as it was a year ago. The one inconvenient thing was the elevator use. The problem was that there were no buttons inside the elevator cabin- you cannot regulate the deck number you would like to get in/out- just from outside. The restaurant menu and service was excellent, food was delicious. The cabin was cleaned very thoroughly and the guy Paulo was very polite and friendly. Evening shows and concerts were interesting and colorful. One more inconvenience- every device you would like to use is extra charged. For surely I will recommend my friends to get a chance of booking a cruise on MSC. It occurred that booking on board has a privilege.
Great ship very clean and tidy. Balcony stateroom had plenty of storage and was clean. Dining room food needs improvement but we still had some enjoyable meals . The dining room food is not as good as other cruises we have been on such as royal Caribbean. The buffet has lots of choice and was well organised with plenty of staff. We liked that some bars offered different drinks options such as speciality beers and wines or signature cocktails. We enjoyed the cocktail bar as it was quieter and a more relaxed atmosphere. Pool area a little small for the amount of guests on board. Great for families as it has the waterslides and area for kids. The msc private Island was brilliant. Lovely sand and water. Very clean and well looked after. There are plenty of bars and also snack vans as well as the buffet. We would love to visit ocean cay again.
I sailed for the 1st time on an MSC Cruise, I have been on many other cruises, but this one was special. The room and bathroom size were adecúate, I had a room with a balcony which was very nice although I seldom used. Lots of activities and things to do, even when on the water. There were enough pools and hot tubs, and I always found a place to sit. We also took advantage of shopping, so worth it! Lot of restaurants to choose from. The service was amazing, I have to mention Dewa in the Loft Cafe and Bashen in the main bar, they went above and about to attend to us, always courteous smiles and happy to see us. I can't forget Kevin in the Green Wave dining room. I can't wait for my next cruise, the next time I may book and a 14-day cruise. its great way to enjoy and relax, without have to do much
