Beyond the first of its class, Oasis of the Seas® was also the ship that launched a holiday revolution. And now this Oasis Class favourite will introduce even more new thrills for couples and kids of all ages, upgraded ways to soak up the sun or enjoy the shade, more delicious dining options than ever to elevate date night, and buzz-worthy new spots to light up every evening. Sailing from the New York area out of Cape Liberty, NJ this fall.
This ship is nice fun the shows and activities but the blaze club was very poor the dance floor Food was ok not my favorite but not bad . The worse experience ever was shopping at Regalia Fine Watches tag price $558 and the sales girl checked the price for me $301 i was so happy and bought but unfortunately here in USA the same watch costs from $170 to $220 plus tax making me feel stupid please stay away from this store ! The drinks was kind of priced but the pool area was very nice the food was missing a lot of seafood . That’s sad when we paid for tips in advance and any drink they included their tips as well but the Oasis of the seas has so many nice things to do i had a lot of fun but estrange charges ended up on my credit card
A trans Atlantic cruise has been on our bucket list for years and our recent crossing on Oasis was perfect. I should add the caveat that our ship was not at capacity(around 5200) and most of the shortfall was children which made access to many activities painless. We chose this cruise on Oasis as the two week itinerary would allow us to really explore everything the ship had to offer. Access to climbing wall, flow rider, zip line etc was never a problem. The only facility I would say was consistently busy was the gym. Overall we found the service excellent especially in the main dining room and our cabin. For the most part the staff was friendly and helpful. As liquor prices are very pricey we tried to stay on top of our room charges, and got statements every few days, but found RC's billing system very cumbersome and confusing. We had a ocean view with large balcony on deck 10 midship and location was perfect with convenient access to all areas of ship. We were disappointed we did not have loungers on our deck even though it was oversized. We especially like being only 2 floors above central park and it was short walk to pick up snacks/coffee from Park Cafe. We also intentionally chose port side as it got more direct sun on our south east sailing route. We ate at the main dining room every night of our cruise and did not try any of the specialty dining options. The quality of food in the main dining room was amazing as well as the service so we could not justify the extra charges for specialty dining. On several occasions we ate at the main dining room for breakfast and lunch and they were also excellent. We rarely entered the Windjammer and preferred Park Cafe, Solarium Bistro, and El Loco. We found entertainment on the ship excellent with Aqua 80 being the highlight. It is the most amazing show I have ever seen on a cruise ship combining dance, diving, synchronized swimming, and gymnastics....amazing. The only issue is we had multiple Aqua 80 shows were cancelled due to ship motion and it took us three times before we saw a complete show. We wanted to see the show again but there were no reservations left so we just went to the bottom of the climbing wall and watched from there. There was a wide selection of music clubs and options but our favorite was the Oasis of the Seas orchestra in the Music Hall. They played a wide variety of music with different themes on different nights and were very good. Shows in the Royal Theater were also very good with a wide selection and CATS being the Broadway offering. Overall no complaints about the entertainment. One of the few negative experiences in the two weeks was the disembarkation process. It took us 1.5 hours to get through customs which seems excessive. It appears they were letting people debark the ship before there designated time and then when these people got to customs area there bags were not there so everything came to a standstill. What I do not understand is we chose to walk off with our luggage but there was no provision for us to proceed through customs, we stood in line with everyone else. I was quite surprised RC has not figured this out yet as Oasis is almost 15 years old. Overall an excellent cruise and if you are looking for a longer cruise to really explore these Oasis class ship a TA cruise is ideal.
Was on oasis of the seas on the first September for a week and had a relaxing holiday. We had a hiccup on our first morning in windjammers but would like to thank Ade the Manager of windjammer who came and seen us and sorted everything out for us. No we didn't complain to any staff member about our issue but the waiter in my time dinning over heard us telling the people next to us and he must have made contact with the Manager Ade who came and seen us after our meal in private. He apologise to us and gave us a complementary dinner in Lean and meat BBQ it was amazing meal then best ribs I have ever had and my husband chicken was beautiful. Next night we went for our meal in my time dinning and the manager in my time dining visit us and said she miss us the night before we explained and she said we can have anything on the menu as another complementary meal, anyone who's cruises with RC knows there are 3 dishes on the menu that you pay extra for that's lobster, surf and turf, fillet mignon so I choose the lobster it. It was outing and beautifully cook all the meals in my time dining were outstanding as was the service from all there staff. I would like to thank Joanne from my time dining level 3 for allowing us to be able to choose anything on the menu that night. I would also like to thank Noel our room attendant for keeping our room spotless every afternoon when we return to our room it was like my first day on the ship every day I went to our room. He was always willing to do anything for you if you had a problem as we did with our safe. I would like to thank all the staff on board Oasis of the Sea nothing was to much for them and they made my holiday amazing. To all the bar staff outstanding nothing was a problem. This is not my first cruise with RC it's my fourth and I will only cruise with RC as there staff make sure you get the best holiday ever. I will be returning at some stage next to cruise with RC. Thank you RC.
