Our time aboard the Norwegian Jade was nothing short of fabulous! From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted by friendly, courteous staff who went above and beyond to make every moment special. The ship itself is immaculately clean, well maintained, and beautifully run. The public spaces are well kept and constantly being cleaned. There were available beach chairs throughout the trip at any given time. Every night brought something magical with spectacular shows—our absolute favorites were Kateryna and Vasyl's stunning performance and the incredible Elements show on the final night. Truly unforgettable entertainment! But the real highlight? The food! Credit goes to Executive Chef Jissmon Panachepilly, whose incredible hospitality and leadership were clearly reflected in every meal we enjoyed. The menu was different each day and one better than the next. Each dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and made with care. Special shoutout to Luis Menino, the Food and Beverage Director, whose passion and attention to detail made a noticeable impact on the overall experience. These two truly made our cruise extra special! We had the privilege of going behind the scenes to tour the kitchens, and I can confidently say the team’s commitment to health, sanitation, and quality is second to none. The Norwegian Jade is a perfect choice for families, with something for everyone and a welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. We can't recommend it enough—thank you Norwegian Jade for the memories!
In March 28 2025, the 4day Bahamas cruise with NCL Jade was priced at $490 base fare + $210 port taxes + $80 service fee => $780 USD total Redeemed the $500 discount offer from MyVegas Slots (Playstudio MGM) Apps, off the base fare for more reasonable deal. The first 2 days of sailing was very rocky: strong winds and waves shakes. The last days was much smoother and enjoyable. And very unfortunate we had the second day to "Great Stirrup Cay" entirely cancelled as day on sea: due to strong winds & waves made the tenders a bit unsafe, and ship announcer hopes the new piers built soon will allow future cruises to skip tendering process entirely. So it feels we all lost some value there this trip. No gripes about the food and services and entertainment, they are pretty great overall. Wide selections of western and asian food every meal. I only feel some small inconveinces about the layout of the ship: the buffet "garden cafe" takes up about half-side of the ship while the italian restaurant takes up the other side, so during peak crowded hours there is not enough tables to sitdown, and also makes roundabout outside back of ship a bit trickier, having to go through the basketball courts on top. And the back set stairs of ship only goes down to 6th floor, have to route around to middle or front set of ship to get 5th deck or lower. And the top level amenities lack the "wow factor" that other newer ships may have, it is basic containing the netted basketball/soccer courts. and mini-putt areas; it lacks any water slides nor mountain climbing nor infinity pools.
Room: We booked a room with a balcony. Our room was beautiful and our room staff were amazing and went above and beyond. WiFi: You will need to purchase a WiFi package. If you’re not using the WiFi, turn off your WiFi off. If you leave your WiFi on, it will use all your WiFi minutes. Food: The food was okay. On the boat the steak house had the best food and the best service. We asked not to be charged daily for tips. We wanted to tip with cash. However they charged us 20 bucks a day for tips. This gives those who don’t provide good services the same amount of tips as those who provide good services. We had horrible service at the complimentary restaurant. Water package: if you are at a restaurant, club/bar you can get a cup of water. However if you want a bottle or can of water you need to purchase a water package. 26 bucks for a case of water. 3 islands: we were supposed to go to three islands however we only docked at 2 islands. We were unable to go to the cruise private island because of safety. Apparently they made announcement on the over head speaker. However the speaker doesn’t go into the room. Therefore we missed the announcement. ~Tip: watch the cruise tv channel for updates on and about your cruise. Cleanliness on the cruise was excellent. Bar service: the casino and whiskey bar had horrible bar service. My friend and I were the only two at the bar and the bar tenders ignored us. At the whiskey bar, the servers served tables next to us but didn’t serve us. Tips: Book excursions and restaurant reservations and airport transportation in advance (weeks/months) before your cruise. Make sure you have a debit card/and or credit card is linked to your room card. Your room card is the only way you can make purchases on the boat. You need your room card for food and drinks. You need your room card to get in and off your the boat. Don’t loose your room card**
