The cruise was as advertised. Boarding is a great reception, suite clean and well cared for. The food in the star restaurants was excellent and the staff made sure it was a culinary feast. The additional book for the special restaurants was also possible. The excursions were well taken care of with beautiful highlights. The off-board restaurants were well selected. Unfortunately, the downside is the antisocial behavior of guests who "reserve" a pool cabin or bed at 07:30 am and then arrive at 10:00 am to use. This is not a 1st class style and calls for a review of the policy (looks like a 1 star resort). Back to the past and no reservation of beds, belongings are removed and can be picked up at the pool bar. Solution: 4 stands on each corner of the pool with text and a pool boy/girl that appeals to guests. We enjoyed the cruise, excursions, taking care of all the staff and the culinary highlights
This was my third Regent Seven Seas cruise and one of my favorites. This was a great itinerary sailing from Bridgetown Barbados to Rio de Janeiro, but what really made this cruise, was the ship itself. The Splendor is a beautiful ship, warm and welcoming. The crew was fantastic. Some of the best crew that I've ever encountered. We were booked in an F2 Serenity Suite. There was plenty of room and included a desk area, bar area, sofa, walk in closet, double vanities, a bathtub and a shower plus a very large Veranda. There was storage space everywhere you looked. Another standout of Regent Seven Seas is the dining. In Compass Rose, the Main dining room, not only did they have the Chef's recommendation's of the day, but on the left side of the menu there was every cut of beef, lamb, pork etc, as well as lobster, scallops and every other kind of seafood and you could customize your meal just the way you would want it. The Specialty restaurants were also fantastic and we could pretty much get a reservation any time we wanted it. If you truly want some fun and a lovely experience, take a Culinary class in their onboard kitchen. We made 3 courses with a wine pairing with each course and picked up some great tips from the chef teaching the class. You may think that Regent Seven Seas is out of your budget, but when you add in all the included options such as shore excursions, specialty restaurants, premium beverages, gratuities and laundry, it really is a great value for the money.
My first experience with Regent has me hooked! I loved everything from the minute I stepped on board and felt warmly welcomed. The decor is beautiful and the service was simply outstanding. My stateroom had all of the details - plenty of room to sit and relax, lots of storage and drawers, the walk-in closet was great, outlets right where I needed them and beautiful bathroom with large mirrors and lighting. The dining venues were varied as were the menus - casual to elegant and the food was simply fabulous! The servers were so attentive and friendly. The specialty dining is included which is unique in the industry! Excursions are included too. Excellent local guides and time on our own to explore as well. Port stops were excellent. The Entertainment cast was incredibly talented and the shows so wonderful! I really enjoyed meeting the cast members during the day around the ship - they added a lot of fun energy to the cruise! The other travelers I met were all seasoned Regent cruises, and raved about every cruise they have done with Regent - many of them had 10+! To me, that says it all. I have traveled extensively and I am now a Regent fan! I can't wait for my next cruise with them.
This was our first cruise and it was amazing! We went with a large group of friends and the ship was able to accommodate all of us to be together for dining and entertainment, which made it extra special. There are so many restaurants to choose from. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, the main dining room was huge and their menu each day was unbelievable. The specialty restaurants were a nice change for a more intimate setting and the food at all of the restaurants was out of this world! Our cabin was spacious, beautiful and very clean. The service we received in our cabin as well as throughout the ship was fantastic! The activities and entertainment available were endless and the excursions were lots of fun. Everything was well organized from preparing us for the cruise, to arrival, to leaving the ship. Our trip was so much fun that we look forward to booking another trip with Regent in the future!
My husband and I joined a group of friends to explore Canada, Nova Scotia, and the East Coast on Regent Seven Seas Cruise Line. The ship was beautiful and our room was gorgeous. The entire staff was welcoming, attentive and very helpful! We greatly appreciate all of their hard work. We can’t say enough about the fabulous food! All of the restaurants offered varied delicious menu items. The featured chefs offered cooking classes which were informative and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed the nightly entertainment which included great music, talented singers and dancers, as well as a great comedian! We also took part in the daily Trivia games and Mensa questions each day. We enjoyed spending time in the well appointed card/game room with our friends during the sea days. The staff offered many fun activities throughout those days as well. We will definitely travel with Regent Seven Seas Cruises again!
