An Absolutely Unforgettable Silver Seas Nova Experience I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience aboard the Silver Seas Nova. We booked this Greek Islands trip almost last minute, and what started as a spontaneous decision turned into one of the most incredible family vacations we have ever taken. Our itinerary took us through Athens, Gythion, Olympia, Crete, Santorini, Pathmos, and Bodrum, Turkey, and every destination was spectacular in its own way. But honestly, what made the trip exceptional was the experience onboard. The staff were absolutely phenomenal. Should out to Tarun, Sunny and Chanel! From the moment we stepped onboard, everyone was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely interested in making sure we were having a wonderful time. The service was truly next level without ever feeling stiff. Every request was handled with a smile, and somehow the staff seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even asked. The food was outstanding. I’m talking Michelin level, Zagat reviewed level of restaurants. Every meal felt special, with an incredible variety and quality that exceeded our expectations. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, dinner, or one of the many little treats throughout the day, everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The dining experience alone was something we looked forward to every day. And the support staff deserve just as much praise. Housekeeping, dining staff, guest services, bartenders, activity staff—everyone contributed to making the trip feel effortless. You could tell there was a genuine culture of hospitality throughout the ship. A special shout-out to the director of activities and the entire activities team. They were fantastic at creating an atmosphere where everyone could participate, have fun, and feel included. There was always something happening, but nothing ever felt forced. They somehow managed to make the ship feel lively and energetic while still giving everyone plenty of opportunities to relax. And I have to specifically say this because it was something we wondered about before booking: DO NOT let the word “Silver” in Silver Seas make you think this is a trip only for older adults or hesitate if you are traveling with kids or teenagers! There were more than 40 kids and teenagers on our sailing, and they were having an absolute blast. Our family saw people of every age group enjoying themselves—from young children to teenagers to adults and older travelers. It was genuinely wonderful to see multiple generations all having an incredible time together. For families, couples, groups of friends, or anyone who simply wants to experience Greece in an incredibly comfortable and luxurious way, I cannot recommend the Nova enough. The combination of spectacular destinations, incredible food, unbelievable service, amazing staff, fantastic activities, and the ease of unpacking once and waking up somewhere new every day made this trip unforgettable. We went into this as a last-minute Greek Islands adventure, and we left thinking, “When can we do this again?” Silver Seas Nova absolutely exceeded our expectations. Five stars doesn’t even feel like enough.
